Kshar-sutra is a thread impregnated with the extract of different medicinal plants.Multiple coatings of the medicinal plants are done over the thread.One coating per day is recommended.Mostly 21 coatings (11 coatings of Snuhi dugdha+7 coatings 0f Apamarg kshar+3 coatings of Haridra powder ) are done.
